We’ve all heard the phrase “breed like rabbits” – that’s because female rabbits can, from a very early age, produce around 5 litters of up to 8 offspring during the breeding season (usually late spring to late summer). That’s potentially 40 rabbits per year to each female!  

Left unchecked, a resident army of rabbits can inflict limitless damage to domestic, agricultural and industrial land. Unstable land caused by burrowing, damage to crops, loss of grass meant for livestock, trees left susceptible to disease due to constant gnawing, the list goes on.
