DEER

Deer are impressive creatures but the huge population increase has caused no end of problems for the countryside. They destroy bird habitats and ruin field crops and fruit trees (not to mention nibbling your roses!) Landowners are actively encouraged to control numbers. 

In gardens and orchards, deer can be discouraged or prevented from entering using robust high fencing. Other methods are recommended for farms and woodlands.
